AUTOMATED WAREHOUSE
The
Dulcesol Group has
recently inaugurated in
a new, totally automated
warehouse for the
storage of raw materials
and the various
palletised loads
produced out of their
baked goods factory. The
new facility boasts
three robotic stacker
cranes which operate
over three aisles of
conventional shelving 20
metres high, and a
shuttle car which links
the front of the
warehouse with the
shipping bay. With the
launch of the new
system, the company has
been able to cut costs
and freely move forward
with its plan for growth
without storage issues
ever getting in the way.
The storage system
installed at the
company’s Gandia factory
includes conventional
pallet racking with a
capacity for 4,752
Europallets. The six
aisles of racking
measure 116 meters in
length by 22 meters in
height, and are serviced
by Mecalux
transelevators. These
machines, which are
connected to the
company’s computer
system using standard
software, move pallets
at a transfer speed of
200m/min and an
elevation speed of
60m/min.
