warehouse with
SINGLE-DEPTH STACKER
CRANE
The
design of the field
chamber makes it
possible to attain
optimum performance out
of the single-depth
stacker cranes. To this
end, a study was carried
out in order to scale
the maximum capacity. It
was decided that the
most critical factor in
a buffer warehouse is
not the number pallets
stored, but rather high
speed, which facilitates
absorption of the entire
flow of incoming and
outgoing pallet.
The
total capacity of the
warehouse is 576
pallets, with a 12m
total height. The
loading unit is a 1000mm
x 1200mm pallet with a
height of 2225mm and a
maximum weight of
1,000kg. The field
chamber is designed to
maintain a temperature
of 8oC and 90% moisture
level.
